Switch to Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal
It's easy to switch to the Microsoft 365 subscription that best meets your needs. For example, if you have Microsoft 365 Personal and want to share Office apps and subscription benefits with your household, you can switch to Microsoft 365 Family. Upgrade to Microsoft Family
How to switch subscription plans
How it works:
1. You buy the Microsoft 365 subscription that you want to switch to using the same Microsoft account as your current subscription.
2. The remaining days on your current subscription are automatically added to your new subscription.
Here's an example:
Current subscription: You have 6 months left on your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.
New subscription: You buy a 12-month subscription to Microsoft 365 Family using the same Microsoft account as your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.
Result: Your subscription is converted to Microsoft 365 Family and will renew in 18 months, not 12.
Here's what changes when you upgrade to Microsoft 365 Family
- You can share your subscription with up to 5 other people
- You and up to 5 other people can install premium Office apps on all your devices. Each person can be signed in to Office on 5 devices at a time.
- You and up to 5 other people get 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage, per person.
